About BrawlToMAX

Motivation

BrawlToMAX is a project I built to figure out the most efficient ways to progress in Brawl Stars, and know how long it would actually take me.

With this site, I hope to allow players to make better decisions about their playtime and spending habits, and also to have more realistic expectations about their progression.

How it Works

By compiling all sources of progression from the game, and adding some weights depending on variables like play rate and spending, you can calculate the rate at which each resource is obtained.

That then goes into a simulation loop where each day, gained resources and drop rates are calculated.

That's the very much oversimplified idea, but everything doesn't fit here, in the future I might make a youtube video or thorough explanation elsewhere about the math that goes into it. For now, feel free to ask about it in the Discord! (link in footer)

Motivations (v2)

I’ve been playing the game since 2019, and for the longest time I’ve praised Brawl Stars for being a very F2P friendly game amongst Supercell’s releases. I’ve purchased a few offers and a couple brawl passes over the years, to support the development of a game I love, but I’d always felt satisfied with the rewards of just actively playing the game for free, which is one of the things I like more about brawl.

Personally, I’ve always been interested in the game’s progression, and optimizing my playtime in order to get my account maxed as fast as possible. In the past I made lots of spreadsheets tracking my daily earnings in an attempt to somewhat predict how long it’ll take or what’s the most efficient use of my time, and eventually I actually did get a completely maxed out account for very minimal spendings on resources! (before hypercharges)

However, with the release of buffies, it seems like we’re steering more and more into the same path Clash Royale took, which is to make it inaccessible to play at the highest level unless you regularly spend money.

With this I'm not trying to say the game is bad or evil, not at all, but I think it's important for players to get that reality check about the economy before they start spending time and money under false expectations.
